FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: opposed internal combustion engine includes opposite located cylinders with pistons mounted in the housing; stock rigidly attached to pistons and to slide; guides of the slide, which restrict the movement of the slide with gaps in all directions, except the direction along the cylinder axis; and conversion mechanism of back-and-forth movement of pistons to rotational movement of outlet shafts. Movement conversion mechanism includes one or several connecting two-flange shafts and two outlet two-flange shafts which are laid on main slide bearings along the housing axis passing perpendicular to axis of cylinders and intersecting it. In flanges of shafts along concentric circle the diameter of which is equal to half the stroke of the piston there are the holes in one of which on each flange there mounted is slide bearing. Connecting links are made in the form of parallelepiped and have pins on both sides of wide plane, which are located at the distance from each other, which is equal to one fourth of the piston stroke. The slide is provided in its middle part along axis perpendicular to axis of cylinders and parallel to axis of shafts with openings into which slide bearings are mounted.
EFFECT: reduction of overall dimensions and metal consumption and simplification of the design.
