FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: tomographic imaging system has a polychromatic X-ray source and an X-ray detector, having energy resolution for obtaining detected signals which depend on X-ray radiation after passing through the object. A computing unit determines the k-edge component of the substance based on the detected signals and a reconstruction unit reconstructs the time sequence of images near the absorption k-edge based on the determined k-edge component. A flow determining unit determines flow values characterising flow inside the object based on the time sequence of images near the absorption k-edge. The computing unit, the reconstruction unit and the flow determining unit form a device for determining flow of substance inside the object. The computer tomographic imaging method and the method of determining flow of substance are realised using a system and a determining device. Data media for realising said methods are also formed.
EFFECT: use of the invention increases quality of determined flow values on computer tomographic images.
