FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: cutting plate comprises top and bottom surfaces shaped to parallelogram, four side surfaces connected said top and bottom surfaces, one or more major cutting edges formed on intersection of top and bottom surfaces with two side surfaces, and one or more minor cutting edges formed on intersection of top and bottom surfaces with the other two side surfaces. Major cutting edges form first angle relative to median plane parallel about top and bottom surfaces and located there between while minor cutting edges form second angle relative to said median plane. Major cutting edges are connected with minor cutting edges to form continuous cutting edge. Note here that top and bottom surfaces include mounting face and skewed surface passing from cutting edge toward median plane and are reflection symmetric about median plane. Note also that said first and second angles vary from 3 to 13 degrees.

EFFECT: decreased range of cutting plates.
