METHOD FOR EVALUATING RATE OF HAND-EYE RESPONSE AND TRAINING DEVICE FOR IMPLEMENTING IT Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC A61B3/00

Abstract RU 2467678 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to any filed requiring evaluation of individual's hand-eye response on a moving target, and can find application in medical, psychological, physiological, sports, transport and air-space practices. A rate of hand-eye response is evaluated by means of a device placed on a table in a usual room that enables measuring hand-eye response on the moving target in a three-dimensional space. The device consists of two rigid racks and metal guides with a flute wherein a metal ball passing through a fixed target mark rolls down at an angle of 5 degrees. Once the ball visually runs through the target mark, the person being tested shall press a button of a control panel and stop thereby an electronic stop watch integrated in the control panel. A time period measured by the electronic stop watch is the value describing the rate of hand-eye response. The measurement is taken in three positions: front - the ball travel directly towards the person being tested at eye level so binocular sight is active; the eyes are above the mark by 10-40 cm - binocular and monocular sights are active, and if the person being tested follows the target at an angle of 90 degrees then monocular sight is active.

EFFECT: group of the inventions enables reliable and accurate evaluation of response on the moving target in different types of sight.
