FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water transport, particularly to ships or marine drill and oil-and-gas production platforms operated in arctic conditions. Proposed structure comprises hull and expanders arranged thereon to decrease effects of ice stresses. Hull profile, at least in cargo and ballast waterline, is zigzag line-shaped. Said expanders are composed of surface consisting of separated straight elements and arranged with spacing selected to optimise ice breaking.
EFFECT: higher safety and reliability, lower operating costs.
