METHOD OF TREATING MANDIBULAR ODONTOGENIC CYSTS OF LARGE SIZE Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC A61B17/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to surgical dentistry and is intended for application in treatment of mandibular radicular and follicular cysts of large size. "П"-shaped muco-periosteal flap is cut out from vestibular side of alveolar process with 0.5 cm indent from edge of cyst cavity from all sides. Flap is separated and moved upward with exposure of bone part. Osteotomy is performed with piezosurgical scalpel with simultaneous separation of cyst envelope from bone part in distal and medial parts of cyst in form of oval-shaped windows up to 1.5 cm in diameter. Cyst envelope is separated from medial bone "window", moving it and removing through distal "window". Photoditazine is introduced into bone cavity and irradiated by light-diode laser in pulse mode with output power 4-5 W, wavelength 810 nm during 5 minutes. Cavity is filled with "Collapan-M", flap is laid on the place, sutures are applied.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to reduce treatment terms, eliminate possibility of. development of spontaneous fractures and complication during operation due to separation of cyst envelope from medial bone "window", moving and removing it through distal "window".
