FIELD: medicine, surgical dentistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for use in the treatment of odontogenic inflammatory cysts of the jaw from temporary teeth up to 4 cm in diameter in children. Under local anesthesia, the “causal” temporary tooth is removed. On the vestibular side, two vertical incisions are made from the edge of the socket towards the transitional fold, up to 0.7 cm long. The mucous membrane and periosteum are peeled off from the vestibular side within the boundaries of the incisions, thus discarding the resulting small mucoperiosteal flap. The hole is inspected, the perforation hole is expanded, partly bluntly, partly sharply, isolating and excising a section of the cyst shell in the area of the upper pole with a transition to the vestibular wall. The removed section of the membrane is subject to pathohistological examination. The interradicular septum and the protruding edges of the vestibular wall of the alveoli are removed, creating an anastomosis with a cyst cavity equal to the diameter of the socket. The flap is placed in place. Next, the cyst cavity is washed generously with an antiseptic solution and loosely tamponed with an iodoform swab. The tampon is replaced and the cyst cavity is washed once every 3 days for 2 weeks until the anastomosis is epithelialized. The patient and his parents are taught how to independently care for the anastomosis. Control examinations are prescribed after 1, 3, 6, 12 months, radiography is performed after 3, 6 and 12 months.
EFFECT: method allows to preserve the rudiments of permanent teeth, reduce the trauma of the operation, postoperative complications and surgical stress in the child, and also improve the quality of life of patients in the postoperative period.
