FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of measurement equipment, namely, to metrology of neutron radiation in presence of background radiations and electromagnet noise. The substance of the invention consists in the fact that a neutron sensor comprises a source of charged particles occurring under action of neutron radiation and an elastic element, at the same time the source of charged particles is made of stable non-radioactive material, opposite to the source of charged particles there is an absorber of charged particles installed, on the source of charged particles and on the absorber of charged particles there are tabs of an optical diaphragm installed, and the optical diaphragm is connected to the optical system of light beam entrance and exit.
EFFECT: exclusion of a fission material, higher noise immunity, higher validity of measurements and reliability of a neutron detector, removal of limitations for measured flows and fluences, provision for measurement of time dependence of flow in case of pulse neutron sources, provision of necessary actuation threshold with non-electric means when starting recording equipment, provision for multiple use, simplification of technical implementation.
