FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and may be used for cutting metals. Cutting plate comprises bottom, in fact, quadrangular surface, rear surface made on top surface and shaped to convex curvilinear surface uprising toward cutter thickness from two opposite sides of bottom surface, two front surfaces uprising toward thickness from the other two opposite sides of bottom surface and formed in first side surfaces intersecting with aforesaid top surface, two arc-like cutting edges formed in rib sections of intersection of two front surfaces and rear surface, and two second side surfaces intersecting with bottom surface either inclined or parallel with its opposite sides and with top surface to extend toward thickness, and formed by incising virtual section of intersection between top and bottom surfaces and part of arc-like cutting edge connected with top surface. Plate is fitted in cutter body seat and locked therein.

EFFECT: reliable locking, longer life.
