FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of producing ceramics and glaze compositions for applying on porcelain, faience and semiporcelain articles. The mixture for producing blue-coloured unfritted glaze contains the following components, wt %: annealed vanadium catalyst wastes (sulphovanadate on diatomite) 23-25, nepheline sludge 23-25, feldspar 50 and cobalt oxide CoO2. To obtain glaze slurry, components of the mixture are mixed and subjected to wet mixed grinding to sieve No.0056 residue of not more than 0.2%. The glaze has the following properties: TCLE 76.97·10-7 deg-1, density 2659 kg/m3, refraction index 1.502, flow temperature interval 1200-1230°C.
EFFECT: high flow temperature of the glaze and low cost of production of the glaze by excluding the fritting step and using cheap raw material.
