FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: production of mineral wool from metallurgical slag for the construction industry. The first version of the device, in which the storage and melting modules are connected directly or through a channel, while the storage module contains heating means located inside it, a dosing device is located between the storage and melting modules, while the device is configured to move the charge processed in the melting module through the outlet channel for briquetting or molding, and the distance h between the surfaces of the heating means closest to each other to the diameter d of the heating means is in the range of 1÷5. The second version of the device, in which at least two melting modules are connected directly and/or through channels to the storage module.
EFFECT: streamlined predictable production process without degrading the characteristics of the manufactured product.
