FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to submersible combustion burner, submersible combustion melting unit, method of feeding flame and/or combustion products from burner for submerged burning into molten metal. Burner for submersible combustion comprises a substantially parallelepiped case, a surface turned to a melt, which includes a longitudinal slot, two opposite walls of the slot containing a row of nozzles. Fuel and oxygen-containing gas are separately supplied into each burner. Slot has narrow gap making from 10 to 30 mm. Nozzles are located at distance from turned to molten surface of burner, which is 1–3 times larger than width of slot. Row of nozzles is located on one of the opposite side walls of the slot and shifted relative to the row of nozzles located on the other of the opposite side walls of the slot.

EFFECT: technical result is improved stability of flame, reduced intensity of mixing in bath of melt.
