FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to neurosurgery, ultrasound diagnostics. Location of neoplasm with respect to other anatomical structures in operation wound and direction of encephalotomy are determined. For this purpose ultrasound scanner Sonosite Micromaxx, on whose sensor biopsy adaptor is installed, is applied. Echolocation from different points of operation wound is performed in mode of "biopsy" scanning. Plane of scanning and angle of sensor inclination are matched in such a way that trajectory includes optimal point for encephalotomy on the brain surface and point on neoplasm. Surgical instrument, which represents metal rod with rounded ends on both side, is installed into biopsy adaptor guide and moved to neoplasm on determined trajectory under US image control.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to reduce operation trauma due to determination of optimal encephalotomy trajectory.
