FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology and is intended for differential diagnostics of meningioma and glioma of optic nerve (ON). By method of high-frequency ultrasonic scanning peculiarities of tumour echostructure are determined on the basis of analysis of dencitometric parameters and peculiarity of blood flow in neoplasm. If ON canal is clearly visualised along entire length, small hyperechogenic inclusions in tumour tissue are present, average acoustic tumour density is 94 conv. u, multiple cartograms of flows with uniform distribution throughout tumour area are present, meningioma of optic nerve is diagnosed. In case if ON trunk is not visualised along entire length, hypoechogenic inclusions in tumour tissue are present, average acoustic tumour density is 52 conv. u., blood flow in tumour is absent, avascular form of ON glioma is diagnosed. In case if ON trunk is not visualised along entire length, multiple hypoechogenic inclusions of different sizes in tumour tissue are present, average acoustic density is 48 conv. u., distribution of intratumour vessels on tumour area is not uniform, vascular form of ON glioma is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to make correct diagnosis and select tactics of further treatment.
