FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology and is intended for estimation of efficiency of organ-preserving treatment of uveal melanoma. Ultrasound examination is performed. Acoustic density and state of vascular network of prominent focus are additionally assessed by means of high-frequency duplex scanning. In case of determining that indices of acoustic density in uveal melanoma tissue are higher than 110 conditional units, colour cartograms of flow in tumour are absent and focus dimensions are reduced, organ-preserving treatment is estimated as efficient.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to estimate efficiency of performed local therapy of uveal melanoma and determine further tactics of patient management.
