FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology and aims at differential diagnosis of morphological forms of uveal melanoma. Ultrasonography is performed by high-frequency two-dimensional grey-scale scanning with scanning frequency 15-17 MHz. Evaluate acoustic density of tumour tissue. If observing the averaged values of acoustic density equal to or less than 80 standard units, spindle cell form is diagnosed. At acoustic density of more than 80 standard units - epithelioid cell and mixed cell form.
EFFECT: method enables to specify the nature of the tumour tissue and predict the course of tumour process by means of densitometric analysis based on tissue histograms of tumour tissue.
