FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to ophthalmology and aims at diagnosis of retinoblastoma in children. Ultrasound examination is carried out. A status of the prominent focus vasculature is additionally assessed with using a high-frequency duplex scanning. In the presence of colour flow charts and linear systolic blood flow speed in the prominent focus vessels varying between 1 to 6 cm/sec, retinoblastoma is diagnosed.
EFFECT: technique allows specifying the diagnosis of retinoblastoma with assessing the proper tumour vasculature, as well as evaluating effectiveness of the carried out therapy.
