FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: roof cornice with a cantilever eave, in which the entire eave or only its external edge is arranged as elastic and provides for automatic drop-off of icicles under action of wind gusts. The cornice is equipped with a cord freely stretching via circular brackets arranged along the lower surface of the eave. The cord is pulled with the help of elastic plates fixed at the sides of the building and having a windage property under action of wind gusts. Billboards are used as plates.
EFFECT: higher operational reliability of a roof due to elimination of formation and drop of large icicles off a roof cornice.
