FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: versions of realisation include a structure of a nuclear fuel rod and/or a segment using spacer parts of a fuel element. Spacer parts of a fuel element may be arranged with gaps inside fuel rods and/or segments.
EFFECT: possibility to manipulate mechanical, neutron and thermal characteristics of a fuel rod and a segment and to reduce effects of fretting corrosion in a fuel rod and a segment.
