SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely traumatology and orthopaedics, and may be used for cotyloid replacement in bottom defect. A whirlbone is removed. A cotyloid is treated. A whirlbone portion is dissected to form a transplant thereof. A plane section diameter of the fragment shall exceed a cotyloid bottom defect diameter. The cotyloid bottom defect is used to form a polyhedron with a maximum possible number of planes. A half-transplant from its convex face is used to form the polyhedron so that its shape and size matches with those of the polyhedron in the cotyloid bottom. The transplant formed thereby is placed in the cotyloid bottom defect to superpose both polyhedrons.

EFFECT: method provides higher fixation strength of the endoprosthetic hip component, avoided transplant mobility during cotyloid milling, adequate closure of the cotyloid bottom defect and prevented protrusion of the endoprosthetic hip component.
