SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgical phthisiology, and can find application in treating destructive pulmonary tuberculosis. Substance of the method consists in performing osteoplastic thoracoplasty. It is performed from a minimally invasive paravertebral approach. A first intercostal space is preserved when preparing a first rib. The resected ribs are fixed en bloc to the second above unresected rib. Extrapleural pneumolysis is strictly limited by the resected rib sections along a posterior surface and from a mediastinum, on the left - up to an aortic arch, on the right - up to an azygous vein.

EFFECT: use of the given invention enables intensifying a collapse surgical effect with reduced intraoperative injuries, and thereby providing higher clinical effectiveness in the patients suffering extensive destructive pulmonary tuberculosis.
