FIELD: medicine, phthisiosurgery.
SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with surgical treatment of destructive tuberculosis at localization of cavernae in the upper lobe and in the 6th segment of a lung. So, it is necessary to fulfill osteoplastic thoracoplasty in the course of which one should additionally resect a posterior sector of the 6th rib. The innovation enables to increase the efficiency of therapy in this category of patients due to increasing the volume of extrapleural pneumolysis.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy.
