FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: system includes high-temperature fuel element; carbon-bearing fuel and converting reagent are placed in the converter. Endothermic reaction of carbon-bearing fuel with converting reagent is carried out in the converter. Mixture of CO and H2 is obtained in converter, portions of mixture (CO and H2) and oxidiser are supplied to anode and cathode respectively of high-temperature fuel element, which is the part of high-temperature oxidising system. The supplied portion of mixture is oxidised in high-temperature oxidising system with generation of electric and heat energy. Heat energy is transferred to converter; temperature is maintained in the converter in the range of 800-1300 K. Some part of H2 is removed from the above mixture of CO and H2, which is formed in the converter, and its amount supplied to high-temperature oxidising system is reduced. H2 that has been removed from separation system is supplied to hydrogen utilisation system.
EFFECT: improvement of operating reliability of heat current source under conditions of action of high mechanical loads; invention allows increasing usability of carbon-bearing fuel in the system containing high-temperature fuel element, improving reliability and enlarging service life of high-temperature fuel element.
