FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: method and device are disclosed for assignment of priorities to logical channels, when a new transfer is carried out. Resources of the logical channel are dedicated for available data for multiple logical channels. Permission for transfer of data packet with maximum band rate (MBR) (i.e., a token) is reduced in a buffer (i.e., a memory area), associated with one specific logical channel, by a size of a service data unit (SDU) of medium access control (MAC). Permission for transfer of a data packet with MBR may have a negative value. If any dedicated resources of a channel remain, logical channels are served in the procedure of priority reduction until data is not exhausted. SDU of radio link control (RLC) is not segmented, if the entire SDU RLC complies with remaining resources. SDU MAC excludes the heading of MAC PDU and MAC fill.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of communication resources usage.
