FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to obstetrics and gynecology. In order to predict risk of formation of fetus intrauterine growth retardation at stage of pregnancy planning analysis of anamnestic data is performed. For woman, who is planning pregnancy, the following data are determined: husband's age, presence of diseases of respiratory organs, colds, dysmenorrhea, parity, presence or absence of pregravid preparation and prognostic index D is calculated by formula: D=0.04×X1+0.18×X2+1.35×X3+0.22×X4-0.20×X5+1.71×X6+0.14, where X1 is husband's age (years); X2 is pathology of mother's respiratory organs, if yes - 1, if no - 0; X3 stands for mother's colds, if yes - 1, if no - 0; X4 stands for dysmenorrheal, if yes - 1, if no - 0; X 5 stands for pregravid preparation, if yes - 1, if no - 0; X 6 is fifth or larger in number pregnancy, if yes - 1, if no - 0; if D higher than 0 is obtained, high probability of giving birth to a child with IUGR is predicted, if D is lower than 0, conclusion about probability of giving birth to a child with normal body weight is made.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to detect possibility of giving birth to children with IUGR at stage of preparation to pregnancy.
