FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to motor vehicle with hybrid electric drive and to its operation. Motor vehicle comprises chassis with wheels, power transmission, ignition switch, storage battery, and controller. Power transmission comprises ICE and electric motor/generator. Proposed method consists in using said controller to select motor/generator to make engine and generator. Changing ignition switch from OFF into ON position select control mode for storage battery. Said selection is performed in compliance with gauged parameters. Said gauged parameter is set to on particular magnitude from set of values. First magnitude of gauged parameter is used for selection of control mode operated in final switching of ignition from ON into OFF position. Second gauged parameters is used to select control mode depending on the number of ignition switching from OFF to ON position after the last recharging of storage battery from external source.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of control.
