FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method includes registration of reflected light that characterises detection and measurement of morphological heterogeneity of wood. Investigations are carried out with the help of an optical endoscope by means of its displacement in a hole drilled in the centre of the tree trunk in radial direction with previously prepared inner surface of the hole.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to accurately determine tree age, reduce labour intensiveness of investigations, provide for safety of performed works and receive information on wood condition.
