SUBSTANCE: method for re-selection of cell in wireless network includes a) detection of the fact that the level of current serving cell is below threshold set for this servicing cell; b) determination of target cell availability with lower or same priority in comparison with priority of current servicing cell; c) determination, for at least one available target cell with lower or same priority in comparison with priority of current servicing cell, whether the said available target cell has level higher than the threshold set for this available target cell; and d) selection of the said available target cell, if determination in item c) gives positive result; if determination in item c) gives negative result, there used is a hysteresis for selection of any target cell with level that is better than the level of the said servicing cell.
EFFECT: possibility to use hysteresis mechanism in process of cell re-selection for excluding ping-pong effect.
