SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to thoracic plastic surgery and can be applied in correction of funnel chest deformation in children. Essence of method lies in performing cuts of skin and subcutaneous cellular tissue on the line of intercostals space, retrosternal tunneling, passing correcting plate with its further fixation to ribs. At the first stage, cutting off of xiphoid process and excision of retrosternal ligament are carried out, elevation of sternum is performed with mobilisation of retrosternal space between pleura visceralis and pleura parietalis. At the second stage up to 5 cm long cuts are made by dissecting skin and subcutaneous cellular tissue from both sides on axillary lines of the fifth intercostals space. At the third stage tunnel is formed behind sternum in transverse direction by means of guide-cartridge, inside which there is correcting plate from titanium nickelide with shape memory, cooled in liquid nitrogen. Guide-cartridge is moved in retrosternal space from left to right by pulling cord, fixed on the right end of guide-cartridge, under control of the index finger. At the fourth stage guide-cartridge is removed, and correcting plate is fixed to boner part of ribs.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase efficiency of surgical treatment due to reduction of risk of intra-operation complications and method simplification.
