FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention describes a method for evaluating a risk of hazardous action of pesticides on workers, consisting in establishing the parameters of the actual content of substances in workplace air (mg/m3) and on skin (mg/cm2), deriving a safety coefficient (SC). It is followed by calculating an absorbed substance dose (Da, mg/kg) during inhalation and dermal introduction (mg/kg of body weight) by formula, and by deriving an allowable daily exposure level for operators by pre-set inactive dose in chronic toxicological experiment (ADLEO, mg/kg), then by determining the limiting criterion - the safety coefficient (SC) by formula: SC = Da:ADLEO, and if SC≤1, an admissible risk is stated, while SC>1 shows an inadmissible risk.
EFFECT: method enables higher accuracy and reliability of estimating the actual risk of pesticide for workers and making adjustments to use conditions of pesticides in agriculture and other industries.
