FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: open splenectomy is performed in Wistar rats; removed spleen is destructed outside the abdominal cavity, and escaped blood is injected back through an incision into the free abdominal cavity. The method provides simulation of splenosis centers with aethiology and morphology as close as possible to human splenosis that gives the opportunity to study the mechanisms of developing 'neo-spleen' tissue, its functional activity, a degree of compensation of the immune protection accompanying the process.
EFFECT: use of the given method is simple and technically favourable in the experimental environment.
