FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: light-emitting device has a light source which is configured to emit a first light; a wavelength-converting layer. The wavelength-converting layer lies on the path of the first light, lies at a distance from the light source and contains a first, wavelength-converting material, which is configured to absorb the first light and emit a second light; and a reflecting layer. The wavelength-converting layer lies between the reflecting layer and the light source and the reflecting layer is the bottom surface of a heatsink.
EFFECT: high radiation efficiency, high reliability and low cost.
