METHOD OF OPERATIVE TREATMENT OF CHRONIC POSTERIOR SHOULDER DISLOCATION Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC A61B17/56 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics and can be used for treatment of chronic posterior shoulder dislocation. Bone-plastic access to shoulder joint is realised and acromial process of scapula with attaching to it middle portion of deltoid muscle is cut off. Joint cavity is released by ablation of scar tissue. Dislocation of shoulder bone head is reset. Absolute value of defect is determined. Exposure of bone autotransplant from previously cut off fragment of acromial process of scapula is performed. Autotransplant is modeled in accordance with dimensions of defect of articular process of scapula. Autotransplant is adapted to defect zone and temporarily fixed to bone bed of defect by means of Kirschner wire. Through channel through autotransplant and defect of posterior edge of articular process of scapula is formed. Fixing screw with toothed washer is introduced into formed channel. Wire is removed. Remaining fragment of acromial process of scapula is adapted and fixed to its host bed.

EFFECT: method ensures elimination of defect of posterior edge of articular process of scapula, recovery of shoulder bone head congruency and articular scapula surface, prevention of recurrence of shoulder bone head dislocation in postoperative period, recovery of movements in shoulder joint.
