SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a water treatment method. Natural calcium carbonate with an activated surface or an aqueous suspension containing calcium carbonate with an activated surface with pH higher than 6.0 is added to the treated water. The calcium carbonate with an activated surface is a product of reaction of natural calcium carbonate with carbon dioxide and an acid.

EFFECT: invention increases efficiency of removing pollutants from water.
