SUBSTANCE: invention relates to filtration materials intended for cleaning air of vapors and gases of an healthy substances. Proposed invention covers filtering sorbent comprising cloth base, silicon dioxide and photo catalytically active titanium dioxide in the anatase form. Titanium dioxide-to-silicon dioxide weight ratio makes (1-3):5. Proposed method comprises preparing titanium dioxide dispersion in silicon dioxide hydrosol, impregnating fabric base with said dispersion, ageing said sorbent in darkness, thermal treatment and washing.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of air cleaning in closed rooms.
