FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the development of methods to combat unwanted contamination of laboratory premises with impurity nucleic acids. A method is proposed for eliminating the contamination of rooms with impurity nucleic acids and their fragments, which includes coating accessible surfaces with a solution. The surface of the materials is functionalized with a colloidal solution containing a polar organic solvent, ethyl silicate, a photoactive component, an inorganic acid, and water. The photoactive component is nanocrystalline titanium dioxide or nanocrystalline titanium dioxide containing an admixture of nitrogen or admixture of nitrogen, iron and copper. After evaporation of the solvent, a photoactive silicon-titanium oxide coating is formed, firmly attached to the outer surface of porous and non-porous materials.
EFFECT: coating has a self-cleaning effect under the action of sunlight and room light sources and provides oxidative degradation of nucleic acids and their fragments to products for which no signal is detected during PCR analysis.
