FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: method includes operations of applying a current-conducting layer of a colour suspension and its thermal fixation. The colour aqueous suspension is applied onto the surface of the porcelain item, which contains, wt %: liquid potassium silicate 12-22, glycerine 3-12, oxides of metals: aluminium, chrome, titanium, zirconium separately or in the form of a mixture 15-2, powder glass 27-32, water - balance. Copper electrodes in the form of brushes connected with a source of current are introduced into the liquid colour layer, at the same time one passive electrode touches the edge of the pattern, and the other one - the working on - probes the surface of the suspension, selecting the necessary concentration, colour and brightness of the dye, and also extent of its hardening.

EFFECT: application of this method makes it possible to accelerate processes of application and fixation of a colour layer on an item due to coagulation of components and accelerated hardening as current flows in areas of conductors contact to the stage of full hardening of the layer before sending the item into a furnace.
