FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: strip lines of the direct and the related channels are designed to be suspended; the direct channel is designed in the form of a metal rectangular frame with a rectangular window, an input pin on one end and an output pin on the other. The related channel consists of a metal strip, two identical metal straps and two pins, the isolated one and the non-isolated one; the metal strip is positioned inside the frame window with equal gaps between its lateral sides and those of the window and with large equal gaps between the butt-ends of the strips and those of the window. Attached to one end of the strip is end of the strap, perpendicular to the strip longitudinal axis; attached to the other end of the same strap, perpendicular to the strip longitudinal axis, is the related channel non-isolated pin; connected to the other end of the strip, perpendicular to its longitudinal axis, is one end of the other strap, the related channel isolated pin connected; the channels pins are rectangular-shaped.

EFFECT: extension of the directional coupler operating band with communication minus 3 dB into the frequency domain exceeding 10 GHz.
