FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to the field of psychiatry, and can be used to diagnose schizophrenia. Method includes determining the time dependence of the position of the pupil A(t) while tracking the test object moving on the computer screen horizontally according to the harmonic law B(t) for the time during which the test object performs at least 10 complete oscillations. Determine time intervals τi, where d2A(t)/dt2 differs in sign from d2B(t)/dt2, where i∈[1;N], N – the number of the above time intervals, when N>3 determine the time τi between the starting points of the above time intervals τi, calculate the value of S=(ΣiTi/τi)/N, for S>5, the schizophrenia is diagnosed.
EFFECT: invention allows to determine the parameters of specific eye movements characteristic of schizophrenia, as well as to improve the accuracy of diagnosis.
