FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. Proposed method comprises teeming liquid steel into continuous casting mould for uniform cooling and crust growth, adjustment of temperature of section billets or ingots, feeding the latter to rolling mills without additional heating. Temperature on billet or ingot surface and in core equals 1150-1250°C. For prevention of thermal overload at rolls of mill stands, an adjustment mechanism to control steel melt inflow in the mould is used.
EFFECT: simplified design and operation, lower costs.
