FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device comprises first and second connectors connected to cooling system, first and second valves, drain hose, intake hose, flow indicator, pressure pump, pressure gage and filter. In compliance with this invention, fluid availability pickup, temperature gage, damper and heat exchanger are additionally built therein. Heat exchanger first section inlet is connected in series with first connector and, in parallel, with temperature gage. Its outlet is connected with flow indicator, second valve and drain hose and, in parallel, with first valve. Note here that heat exchanger second section inlet is connected in series with damper and second connector. Second section outlet is connected in series with intake hose, fluid availability pickup, filter, pressure pump and, in parallel, with first valve and pressure gage. Coolant replacement at operating engine consists in connecting coolant replacement device between radiator and engine to direct coolant to drain line in one flow. New coolant is fed under pulse pressure in another flow. In compliance with this invention, used coolant is additionally fed via heat exchanger first section while new coolant is fed at pulsed pressure via heat exchanger second section to heat new coolant. Then, new coolant is directed via damper for normalisation of pressure pulsations and, further, into cooling system.
EFFECT: reduced consumption of coolant, accelerated replacement.
