SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to pediatrics and neurology. In the third trimester of pregnancy risk factors are estimated and points are given: threat of abortion in mother - 1 point; anemia in pregnant woman - 2 points; genitourinary infection in mother - 1 point; chronic intrauterine hypoxia of fetus - 2 points. Obtained points are summed up and in this way determine value of index of risk of cerebral ischemia in newborn babies (IRCINB). If IRCINB value equals or is higher than 4 points, high risk of development of cerebral ischemia in newborn babies is predicted, and if IRCINB value is lower than 4 points, low risk of development of cerebral ischemia in newborn babies is predicted.

EFFECT: method extends arsenal of means for predicting risk of ischemia development in children.
