FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: recess is made by spark erosion machining in magazine plates and heat treated at (0.8-0.9)Tcr where Tcr is aluminium alloy crystallisation temperature of aluminium alloy to carry out electroplating to produce 5-7 mcm-thick nickel coating. Then, again, heat treatment is performed at (0.7-0.9)Tcr. Plates are cooled to 200°C in inert medium and, then, in air. Then, nickel coating is subjected to condensation by inert gas ion bombardment to apply 15-20 mcm-thick titanium boride coating by condensation by inert gas ion bombardment.
EFFECT: higher durability of magazine surface, invariable geometry.
