FIELD: motor industry.

SUBSTANCE: method consists in increasing pressure in spent gases (SG) and also measurement of opposite pressure of SG and pressure of supercharging air. Then on the basis of measurement of the opposite SG pressure and pressure of supercharging air they define position of a throttling device for achievement of the specified braking capacity. Afterwards due to adjustment of the throttling device in accordance with its previously determined position they adjust opposite pressure of SG and pressure of supercharging air. At the same time if the current opposite pressure of SG is below the required one, and the pressure of supercharging air corresponds to the specified value, then the position of the throttling device is further closed, or if the current opposite SG pressure is below the required one, and the pressure of the supercharging air is below the specified value, then the position of the throttling device is further opened. To achieve maximum breaking capacity at the corresponding frequency of engine rotation they first set the maximum pressure of supercharging air, and then after achievement of the supercharging air pressure, which is maximum for this frequency of engine rotation, they adjust maximum opposite SG pressure. The device for realisation of the method for vehicle braking with an engine comprises a turbosupercharger with a turbine operating on SG and a supercharging air compressor, an outlet collector and a throttling device.

EFFECT: higher braking capacity of an engine and improved control.
