CELL SELECTION METHOD AND MOBILE STATION Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC H04W48/20

Abstract RU 2488240 C2

FIELD: radio engineering, communication.

SUBSTANCE: cell selection method includes the following steps: determining, at a mobile station (UE), whether or not a first closed subscriber group (CSG) cell satisfies a predetermined condition, when using a first macro cell as a camped cell; and changing, at the mobile station (UE), the camped cell from the first macro cell to a first CSG cell, when it is determined that the first CSG cell satisfies the predetermined condition.

EFFECT: enabling a mobile station to chose a camped cell in conditions when CSG cells and macro cells are available at the same time.
