SUBSTANCE: mobile station selects a cell of stay from the first cell using the first carrier frequency and the second cell using the second carrier frequency, different from the first carrier frequency. The method includes a step of change in the mobile station of the cell of stay from the first cell to the second cell, if the cell of stay is the first cell, the level of priority of the second cell is below the priority level of the first cell, quality of radio communication in the second cell meets the previously specified requirement to radio communication quality, and radio communication quality in the first cell does not meet the previously specified requirement to radio communication quality.
EFFECT: provision for selection of a cell of stay under conditions of simultaneous availability of cells that belong to a closed group of subscribers and macrocells.
