SUBSTANCE: invention relates to base station and method of initiation threshold adaptation for cell reselection measurements, performed by mobile terminal served by macro cell. Macro cell is supported by base station, wherein base station and mobile terminal are contained in wireless communication network. Base station determines serving cell signal threshold level, which must used for initiation of measurements for cell reselection by mobile terminal, depending on availability of small cells, located inside macro cell, or adjacent to it, wherein serving cell signal threshold level increases based on increasing availability of small cells. Base station also transmits this particular serving cell signal threshold level to mobile terminal.
EFFECT: technical result consists in provision of initiation threshold adaptation.
