SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to ophthalmology, maxillofacial and plastic surgery, and can be applied in assessing engraftment of free autotransplant of eyelid and periorbital area. Method consists in assessment of engraftment after 3-4 weeks after transplantation. Echodensitometry of transplanted autotransplant and healthy surrounding autotransplant or contralateral tissues is carried out. After that, coefficient of acoustical density K is estimated by formula: K=A1/A2, where A1 is acoustical density of transplanted free autotransplant, A2 is acoustical density of healthy surrounding autotransplant or contralateral tissues. If value K=1.0 and more free skin autotransplant engraftment is assessed as favourable. If K=0.7-0.9 - as satisfactory, at K=0.6 and less as unsatisfactory.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to assess character of engraftment of free skin autotransplant and if necessary administer adequate conservative treatment for ensuring better flap engraftment in due time and, therefore, reach desired functional and cosmetic result of reconstructive treatment.
