METHOD FOR CICATRISATION TYPE PREDICTION FOR SELECTION OF OPTIMAL VERSION OF PLASTIC RECONSTRUCTION OF CICATRICIAL EYELIDS DEFECTS Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B8/06 A61F9/07

Abstract RU 2721657 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used for selection of optimal version of reconstructive surgery of cicatrical eyelids defects. Day before the operation, the laser Doppler flowmetry is used to determine the microcirculation of the involved eyelid in perfusion units in inner, middle and outer points, receding 3 mm from edge of cicatrical defect. Derived three values are used to calculate the arithmetic mean value of microcirculation index of the affected eyelid (mean MIAE). If the average MIAE is less than 3.5 perf. units, then a complicated type of cicatrisation is predicted when using both a two-layer and three-layer composite autograft. If the average MIAE from 3.5 to 7.0 perf. units inclusive, the uncomplicated type of cicatrisation is predicted only when using the three-layer composite autograft. If the average MIAE is more than 7.0 perf. units, uncomplicated type of cicatrisation is predicted when using both a two-layer and three-layer composite autograft.

EFFECT: method provides higher effectiveness of single-stage composite two- and three-layer plastic reconstruction combined with rational medical costs, due to possibility to calculate accurately and technically the optimal variant of blepharoplasty of cicatricial defects before operation.
