SUBSTANCE: in hair styling device (20) containing two-dimensional matrix (21) of elements for bringing hair to styling temperature, elements produce optical radiation energy. Elements can include one or more light-emitting diodes, and preferably a plurality of light-emitting diodes, and in this case light-emitting diodes are combined into units that can have different shapes and sizes. Device (20) for hair styling additionally contains sensors for obtaining of measured value of light absorption in area opposite to two-dimensional matrix of elements and control unit for control of elements separately depending on measured value. Sensors may be configured to measure the light density distribution profile over the entire treatment area. Hair styling device can irradiate hair on both sides, for each of which there is a measured value of light absorption by area. Sensors may include light-emitting diodes that do not emit light.
EFFECT: hair styling device is proposed.
